Our Team

Steve O’Connor (he/him) is the Director and Co-Founder of Philadelphia Adult League Softball, a mixed-gender recreational softball league in Philadelphia with a focus on community engagement and inclusion. He spent several years in the field of drug and alcohol and mental health counseling before founding PALS in 2012, where he is the chief umpire and has organized and co-led four group international softball service trips to Belize and Sierra Leone.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Science, Technology, and Society from Drexel University, where he served as a research assistant for the Drexel Engineering Cities Initiative and was awarded a Drexel University Humanities Fellowship. He is from Chester, PA and lives with his wife Kelly and their dog Isa and cat Roxy.
